BgRT uses information generated from injected radiotracers in an entirely new way. Tumor cells rapidly uptake these biologically active molecules.

FDG (fluorodeoxyglucose) is a radiotracer that has a molecular structure similar to glucose. Cancer cells absorb FDG at a higher rate than healthy cells to illuminate the tumor.

Positrons from the radiotracers collide with electrons in the tumor generating tens of thousands of emissions. These emissions signal the tumor’s location automatically, letting us know exactly where to deliver a tracked radiation dose.
